"It was truly a blessed day when my sister and I met with Tamara Jacobson, owner of Compassionate Care Referral Service. My sister had been caring for our mother and father in her home for the past 2 years. The burden was tremendous, and it had advanced to the point where everyone concerned, my parents, my sister and her husband, was miserable. My parents grieved their former independence, acting out with rebellious ingratitude. My sister increasingly gave in to their unreasonable demands. The care home fits their specific needs in every way, including good meals; medical assistance, activities, and weekly visits with a priest or lay person from their faith church. To anyone who needs help with your elderly parents.

My dad is 91 years old and he was unable to live by himself any longer. My wife and I moved him in with us thinking we could take care of him. It became apparent that it was more than we could handle. Not having any experience with asst. living or anything about it we were at a total loss of where to start, the cost, how to approach him about it or how asst. living works. Thankfully I was reading the CDA press and saw an ad from Compassionate Care Referral Services. I called and Tamara ask me some questions about my dad and our situation.Tamara understood how hard it was for us and what a huge change it was going to be for my dad. With in a couple of hours she had arranged for me to tour some facilities with her to try and find the right one. She ask questions at each facility that I would have never thought of asking. With Tamara's help, understanding and compassion we found my dad a "home" not an asst. living facility.
